Tom Wesselman is an American pop artist who drew from American culture to produce work art that are in flat colours. He is a fan of country music and put radios, TV or other elements of sounds into his work. Below are a list of his art of work:
Great American Nude Series:
The series begun in 1961 which brought gave him so much attention. He was inspired to get into a new direction and worked as a collagist. This series is more linked to his classical works, and with the particular aesthetic that he got, he is often seen along with the other figures of Pop Art like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. The series often incorporated images that are representational along with patriotic theme like American landscape portraits and photos of the founding fathers.

New Series of Still life:
Tom Wesselmann wanted to start experimenting with collages as well as assemblages and therefore begun working on a new series of still of lifes. In Still Life#28, he included the television set as it gave in a moving images with lights and sounds that can be made on painted canvas for a competitive demand. At the time juxtaposition of different depictions and elements interested and excited him so he concentrated most on them.
In Still Life #59, he used five panels that form a large, freestanding and complex dimensional painting. The elements in this series is also enlarged and part of a telephone can also be seen. On one side, a nail polished is tipped up with, and there is a vase with roses along with a crumpled handkerchief next to it, portrait if Mary Tyler Moore.
In Still Life #60, the 26 feet monumental long outline the sunglasses that acts as a frame for the lipstick, jewellery and nail polish. Its a level of gigantism that Wesselmann took for a microcosm of contemporary feminity.
"The standing still life" paintings features objects such as a toothbrush and keys which are magnified to a larger than life scale on canvas.
